Germany. A Wehrmacht Heer (Army) Standard Issue Belt Buckle with Tab, by E. Schneider, Dated 1941

Dated 1941. (Wehrmacht Koppelschloss Gürtelschnalle). Constructed of olive drab painted metal (magnetic); the obverse with a central raised field depicting a Wehrmacht eagle clutching a mobile swastika, circumscribed “Gott Mit Uns” (German - God with Us) and a partial oak wreath; the reverse with a standard soldered catch and double-prong swivel bar; attached to a thick brown leather tab - dated “1941” and maker marked “E. Schneider, Lüdenscheid” on the reverse; measuring 64 mm (w) x 49 mm (h); in overall better than fine condition.
