Footnote: The Second Class Legionnaire is equivalent to Private, with the holder addressed as "Legionnaire". A Recruit/Volunteer receives this designation (it is not a rank officially) after the first four weeks of basic training at La ferme (The farm), if he has also finished his Marche Képi blanc (White Kepi March) successfully.
