1854-1918 Issue. (Preußischer Rote Adlerorden Bruststern zur 1. Klasse). A silver eight pointed star; the obverse with a central white enameled medallion depicting a Brandenburg crowned eagle, surrounded by a broad ring of enamels, inscribed “Sincere Et Constanter” (Latin - Sincere and resistant) in gold capital letters; the reverse plain, with a silver gilt vertical pinback, with a functional hinge and catch assembly, measuring 90.41 mm (w) x 90.14 mm (h); weighing 77.6 grams; in better than extremely fine condition.
