Mayer’s Type-A clasp; measuring 44.19 mm (w) x 30.53 mm (h); weighing 9.6 grams. Accompanied by it original presentation case of issue; constructed of heavy cardstock, with a textured faux leather (leatherette) exterior, embossed with a Clasp to the Iron Cross 1939; with a lined interior lid, a functional spring catch and stud release, interior fabric hinge cover, and functional exterior metal hinge; measuring 65 mm (w) x 67 mm (h); accompanied by its original protective cardboard box; the obverse embossed with “Spange zum Eisernen Kreuz 1. Klasse” and “Nur vom Beliehenen zu Öffnen) (German - Only to be opened by the recipient), and marked on the side of the box “B.H. Mayer, Pforzheim” in black ink; the cardboard protective box with a slight rip on the obverse; in absolutely mint and unparalleled condition.
