A rare photo of a member of the Postschutzpolizei (Postal Protection Police), who were tasked with securing the postal, telephone, and telegraph system. The man in the picture can be identified by his collar tabs and shoulder straps as a Zughauptführer (6th highest rank, out of 12). On his left arm he wears the Postschutz Enlisted Man’s Sleeve Eagle. Note the Postschutz dagger, which was commissioned in 1939. He also wears a Hindenburg Cross ribbon. The reverse of the picture postcard is unused. Measuring 88x135mm, near mint condition.
