Lippe, Principality. A Leopold Order, Silver Cross for Merit, c.1916

(Leopold Orden Silbernes Kreuz für Verdienst). A silver Maltese cross with ball finals, with Leopold’s royal monogram between each arm of the cross; with a central white enameled medallion depicting a Lippian rose; the reverse with a decorated central crowned royal cipher of Leopold; on a horizontally pierced ball suspension, with a shortened period ribbon; measuring 48.35 mm (w) x 53.68 mm (h); in overall better than extremely fine condition.
