A bronze gilt cross pattee; the obverse with a circular central medallion depicting the Royal Prussian Crown, surrounded by a blue enameled ring, inscribed “Gott mit Uns” (German - God with us) in gilt lettering; the reverse with a circular central medallion depicting the royal cipher of King William I, surrounded by a light blue enameled ring, inscribed “Den 18 October 1861” (German - The 18th of October 1861); on a loop for suspension; measuring 40.09 mm (w) x 43.95 mm (h); weighing 13.2 grams; with light chipping to the enamels on the obverse; in overlal near very fine condition.
