Dress pair "banjo" style, stiff-framed epaulettes with burlap supports forming the undersides, uppers in steel blue felt with a crescent-shaped copper gilded rim enclosing the two fire gilt numerals "2" and "9", the protruding tab trimmed in a 16 mm wide band of finely braided ribbon fabricated from silvered bullion copper wire with steel blue threading, reinforced button hole at the tab end, with red felt backers, measuring 110 mm (w) x 140 mm (h) each, free of mothing, extremely fine.

Footnote: von Horn founded the 29th Infantry Regiment (3rd Rheinsches) in 1813. It was garrisoned at Trier, as part of the 8th Corps.
