Germany, Kriegsmarine. A Submarine Front Clasp, Bronze Grade, by Schwerin of Berlin

(U-Boot Frontspange in Bronze). Constructed of bronzed zink; the obverse with a central laurel wreath with a side profile of a submarine superimposed on the badge above two crossed swords, and witch six laurel leaves on either side of the wreath; horizontal tapered pinback with an integral hinge and a crimped round wire catch; maker marked “Schwerin, Berlin” and designer marked “Peekhaus” on the reverse; lightly vaulted; measuring 76.58 mm (w) x 24.00 mm (h); weighing 18.9 grams; in overall near extremely fine condition.
