Germany, FAD. A Voluntary Labour Service Belt Buckle, by Assmann & Söhne

(Freiwiliger Arbeitsdienst Koppelschloss). Constructed of matte new-silver; the obverse with a pebbled finish, depicting a spade with two wheat stalks in a V-formation; the reverse with a standard soldered catch and a double-prong spring bar; marked “A&S” for “F.W. Assmann & Söhne, Lüdenscheid” on the reverse; measuring 62 mm (w) x 47 mm (h); in overall extremely fine condition.
