Constructed of an oval silvered cupal badge; the obverse illustrating a mobile swastika superimposed on a winged man (Icarus) in flight, inscribed “Rhön-Segelflug-Wettbewerb 23.7-6.8.1939”; marked Brehmer, Markneukirchen” on the reverse; measuring 77.10 mm (w) x 90.00 mm (h); weighing 65.8 grams; light wear on the obverse; in overall near very fine condition.
