Germany, Heer. An EM’s Belt and Belt Buckle; Brought back by Ranger James Kerr

(Wehrmacht Koppelschloss und Gürtel). The buckle constructed of aluminum, with a pebbled obverse and a central raised field depicting a Wehrmacht eagle clutching a mobile swastika, circumscribed “Gott Mit Uns” (German - God with Us) and a partial oak wreath; the reverse with a stamped catch and a double-prong spring bar; measuring 62 mm (w) x 48 mm (h). Accompanied by its black thick leather belt; with a finished black upper and matching underside; with a tab for length adjustment consisting of two rows of eight holes in the leather; measuring 965 mm (w) x 42 mm (h); the black finish was exposed to heat, having partially melted on some spots; light mildew; otherwise unworn and untouched; in overall better than fine condition.
