Germany, Kriegsmarine. An Officer’s Vehicle Pennant

(Kriegsmarine Offizier Fahrzeug Wimpel). Constructed of dark blue cotton that is fastened to a metal flag pole in a triangular fashion, with a Kriegsmarine-style eagle embroidered into the obverse and reverse of the eagle, construed of golden-yellow machine embroidery with brown outlines to give the eagle definition. The eagle consists of a national eagle with outspread wings, clutching a wreathed mobile swastika. On the edges of the pennant is golden-yellow piping thatched design. It measures 297 mm (w) x 260 mm (h). A used example with light fading to the fabric and light wear to the piping from use, in overall near very fine condition.
