Württemberg, Kingdom. A Silver Military Merit Medal

(Silberne Militärverdienstmedaille). Issued 1892-1918. A round medal constructed of silvered bronze; the obverse depicting the rightward facing bust of Wilhelm, circumscribed by his name and title; the reverse inscribed “FÜR TAPFERKEIT UND TREUE” (German - For Bravery and Loyalty) within a laurel wreath; on a double loop for suspension from a period original ribbon; measuring 28.24 mm in diameter; weighing 12.4 grams; in overall very fine condition.
