A grouping of five Austrian cap badges and pins, consisting of 1) A Kampfgruppe (Battle Divsion) cap badge; in zink; vertical pinback; measuring 30 mm (w) x 33 mm (h). 2) An Austro-Ottoman Alliance Badge; in zink; vertical pinback; measuring 29 mm (w) x 36 mm (h). 3) A 1916 Augsburger Wehrsäule Badge; in zink; horizontal pinback; measuring 20 mm (w) x 33 mm (h). 4) A 1916 Family of Veterans Supporter’s Badge; in blackened porcelain; measuring 19 mm (w) x 20 mm (h), 32 mm long pin. 5) An Unknown Star Screwback Badge; measuring 28 mm (w) x 28 mm (h). In overall better than vine condition.

This offering is a part of the "Dr. Albert Goodwin Collection", a preeminent assemblage of world Orders, Medals, and Decorations composed solely by Dr.Goodwin between 1946-1967. Dr. Goodwin had a successful career as an educator and prominent physician in New York as well as actively serving in both World Wars with the United States Medical Corps. He acted as both President and Vice-President of the Orders and Medals Society of America (OMSA) and is responsible for organizing their first convention in 1960. He maintained further membership with the American Society of Military Collectors, the International Orders Research Society, and the American Numismatic Society.
