Constructed of oval gilded and silvered white metal alloy; the obverse with a laurel wreath border and with a central area depicting a sea mine exploding in wavy water; the reverse plain, with a vertical pinback, a barrel hinge, and a flat wire catch; measuring 44.57 mm (w) x 51.80 mm (h); weighing 27.7 grams; in overall virtually mint condition.
