(Infanterie Sturmabzeichen in Silber); constructed of oval shaped oak leaf wreath in silvered zink; the obverse with a national eagle clutching a swastika on the top and a bowtie on the bottom and a Karabiner 98k diagonally across the badge with a bayonet attached to the front of the barrel and the carrying sling hanging from the rifle; the reverse plain, with a vertical pinback, and a flat wire catch soldered onto a supporting plate; maker marked with the stylized logo of “E. Ferdinand Wiedmann” on the reverse; measuring 46.2 mm (w) x 61.1 mm (h); with nearly all of its original silver finish intact, very good quality badge, in near mint condition.
