Germany, Luftwaffe. A Flak Badge, by F.W. Assmann

(Luftwaffe Flak Abzeichen). Constructed of silvered zink; the obverse consisting oak leaves, with a Luftwaffe eagle on the on the top of the badge clutching a swastika, and a Flak 88 facing towards the top right, with the barrel extending past the badge; the reverse plain with a vertical needle style pin, barrel hinge, and a flat wire catch (previously repaired); marked with the logo of “F.W. Assmann” on the reverse; measuring 46.41 mm (w) x 63.68 mm (h); weighing 28.6 grams; in overall better than very fine condition.
