Germany, DAK. A German Africa Crops Standard Issue Belt Buckle, by R. Sieper, Dated 1942

(Wehrmacht Deutsches Afrikakorps Koppelschloss). Constructed of olive drab painted metal (magnetic); the obverse with a central raised field depicting a Wehrmacht eagle clutching a mobile swastika, circumscribed “Gott Mit Uns” (German - God with Us) and a partial oak wreath; the reverse with a standard soldered catch and double-prong swivel bar; attached to a thick brown leather tab - dated “1942” and maker marked “Richard Sieper & Söhne, Lüdenscheid” on the tab; measuring 63 mm (w) x 49 mm (h); in near very fine condition.
