Mecklenburg-Schwerin, Grand Duchy. A Military Merit Cross 2nd Class Award Document To Bavarian Oberleutnant Barch

The document states that the Grand Duke of Mecklenburg, Friedrich Franz IV., has awarded the Military Merit Cross 2nd Class to Oberleutnant (Senior Lieutenant) Barch of the Royal Bavarian Landwehr Infantry Regiment No. 2 “for proven distinction in the war”. It is dated to Schwerin on September 4, 1915 and carries a facsimile of Friedrich Franz, as well as another facsimile, the name is illegible. A note has been attached to the document, reading “Remark: “for distinction in the war” shall be worn on the obverse”. Measuring 206x330mm, very fine condition with multiple folding creases.
