Hesse-Kassel. A 100-Year Commemorative Jubilee Medal; Mounted

(Jubiläumsmedaille). Constructed of gilt bronze; the obverse depicting a lion on a platform with oak leaves at the base; the reverse inscribed 1813-1913 22. November; on a loop for suspension from its period original medal bar; the medal bar without a core, with a red wool backer, and a horizontal pinback; measuring 39.48 mm in diameter; in overall extremely fine condition.
