A cross constructed of silvered bronze and black/blue enamels; the obverse with a central black enameled medallion, inscribed “Champagne 1914-1918” in silver lettering; on a double loop for suspension from its period original ribbon featuring a set of silvered crossed swords; marked “Ges. Gesch.” and “Fleck & Sohn, Hamburg” on the reverse; measuring 39.95 mm (w) x 43.11 mm (h); weighing 11.4 grams; in overall near very fine condition.
