Germany, Weimar. An Honour Cross First Class of the Prussian War Veteran’s Association

(Ehrenkreuz 1. Klasse des Preußischen Landes-Kriegerverbandes). Issued 1925. A cross pattee constructed of gilt bronze, with white enameled arms; the obverse with a central gilded medallion, inscribed “Für Verdienst im Kriegsvereinswesen” (German - For Merit in the War Veteran’s Association ); the reverse plain, with a vertical banjo style pinback, a sheet metal hinge, and a round wire catch; marked “Timm Berlin” on the reverse; measuring 44.02 mm (w) x 44.11 mm (h); weighing 23.3 grams; in overall better than very fine condition.
