Germany, Luftwaffe. A Gold Grade Squadron Clasp for Fighter Pilots

(Frotnflugspange für Kampf und Sturzkampfflieger in Gold). Constructed of gilded tombac; the obverse with a central upward-pointing winged arrow and a static swastika on the bottom of the wreath, with laurel leaves on either side of the wreath; horizontal banjo style pinback, with a barrel hinge and a round wire catch; measuring 76.06 mm (w) x 26.00 mm (h); weighing 17.1 grams; in overall mint condition.
