An early Second War fine quality Luftwaffe Squadron Clasp for Bomber Pilots; bronze grade; in bronzed tombac; broad horizontal pinback with a functional hinge/catch assembly; unmarked; measuring 76.05mm x 25.8mm; weighing 17.3 grams; a very good bronze finish and patinated bomb, hardly worn example, in extremely fine condition. Accompanied by its original case of issue; constructed of heavy pressed paper with a lightly textured dark blue faux leather (leatherette) exterior; embossed “Frontflugspange für Kampfflieger - bronze” on the exterior of the lid; functional push button; intact interior fabric hinge cover; functional but fragile exterior metal hinge; measuring 90 mm x 42 mm; better than very fine condition.
