(NSDAP Ortsleiter Schirmmütze). Constructed of tan-coloured webbed fabric, with a traditional high peak and light blue piping along the top of the crown, as well as above and below the cap band. The cap band itself is constructed of khaki coloured doeskin wool. The insignia of the cap consists of a gilt NSDAP cap eagle, with a gilt wreath and a separate cockade.The eagle is constructed of gilt bronze and is in the shape of a standard German eagle, with open arms and a mobile swastika within an oak wreath. The wreath is constructed of gilt aluminum, consisting of multiple oak leaves with a pebbled finish. The cockade is a standard political tri-colour cockade with a black enameled swastika in the center, surrounded by a red enameled ring. The visor is constructed of dark brown vulkanfibre, with a raised rim along the edge of the visor, and with a rusty brown checkered pattern on the underside. The chin cord is constructed of synthetic golden threading, consisting of a main cord crafted of multiple thick strands of twisted bullion cords, as well as two sliders constructed of four strands of thin twisted bullion cord, and is attached to either side of the cap via a gilded pebbled metal (magnetic) button. The interior of the cap is lined with a light brown fabric liner, missing its celluloid maker’s diamond stitched into the centre of the interior. On the edge of the cap is a tan-coloured faux leather sweatband that is perforated towards the front. It is RZM marked by a label sewn onto the underside of the cap, and is stamped “104” and is numbered “244800” in black ink. It measures 282 mm (w) x 245 mm (h). A gently worn example depicting only slight signs of wear. The insignia have lost some of their original finish due to age and wear, but in overall near extremely fine condition.
