Germany, Third Reich. A Special Grade Tank Badge for 75 Panzer Engagments, Later Semihollow Juncker
(Panzerkampfabzeichen mit Einsatzzahl 75). Constructed of gilded and silvered zink; the obverse consisting of a border of oak leaves with a box at the base displaying the numeral “75”, with a Panzer superimposed in the centre rolling over wooden logs, with its left tank track extending over the edge of the badge; the reverse plain with a vertical banjo style pin, a barrel block hinge, and a flat catch on a circular base; with two rivets on the reverse; an unmarked example but displaying all typical manufacturing characteristics of an later version Special Grade Panzer Badge by Juncker; measuring 51.79 mm (w) x 60.68 mm (h); weighing 35.7 grams; in overall near extremely fine condition.
