Saxony, Kingdom. A Bronze Merit Medal, with Privately Added Dated Medal Bar

(Bronzerne Verdienstmedaille). Instituted in 1905 by Duke Carl Eduard. (Issued 1915). A round bronze medal, the obverse depicting the rightward facing bust of Carl Eduard, circumscribed by his name and title, the reverse depicting a merit cross, circumscribed “FIDELITER ET CONSTANTER” (Faithful and Steadfast), with a privately added medal bar with the date “20.10.1932”, measuring 30.18 mm in diameter, weighing 11.9 grams with its ribbon, in overall very fine condition.
