A Maltese cross constructed of war alloy; the obverse inscribed “Für Kriegshilfsdienst” (German - For War Aid), with an oak wreath on the bottom half of the cross; the reverse with the Royal Monogram of “Wilhelm Rex”; with double loops for suspension, with some of its period original ribbon, measuring 41.78 mm (w) x 41.25 mm (h), weighing 21.7 grams, in overall very fine condition.
