Germany, HJ. A Canteen with Matching Bread-Bag

A HJ canteen and bread-bag, the canteen constructed of oval-shaped aluminum, with a cork stopper at the top secured to the bottle via a multi-link chain, curved on the reverse to allow for wearing around the waist, aluminum cap, the canteen encased in a brown wool cover with four metal snap closures on the left side, single brown smooth-finished leather straps on the front and back, the straps joined together by a clip visible on the reverse for uniform attachment. The bread-bag, constructed of tan cotton with aluminum and brown metal hardware, as well as three matching buttons, measuring 283 mm (w) x 265 mm (h), used examples but in overall very fine condition.
