A silver Maltese cross with ball finials, silver lions in each quadrant, obverse centre with green enameled laurel surround, with hand painted Hanovarian horse on red enameling, light blue enameled boarder with inlayed Motto Nec Aspera Terrent (Not afraid of difficulties), reverse centre with crowned cypher of King George IV with Roman numeral instituted date, green replacement enameled laurel surround, measuring 35.06 mm (w) x 51.10 mm (h - inclusive of crown and horizontally pierced suspension ball with cross), weighing 17.4 grams; accompanied by its period original period ribbon, with enamel damage, in near very fine condition.
