(Орден Святой Анны). Instituted 1735. Civil Division. In pleasingly toned silver, consisting of seven arms, each composed of clusters of five smooth armed rays, obverse centre with stylized red enameled cross on textured gilt background, with motto of the order ""Amantibus Justitiam, Pietatem, Fidem"" (""To those who love justice, piety, and fidelity"") in silver on a red enamel surround, reverse with typical Keibel pin assembly, marked on centre reverse and pin with Imperial double headed eagle, also marked 84 denoting silver content and asterisk denoting St.Petersburg manufacture, makers marked Keibel denoting Albert Keibel of the master jeweler family, who was awarded the imperial warrant for the production of Russian orders from 1882–1905, measuring 89 mm (w) x 87.3 mm (h), with only light enamel contact, extremely fine.

Dr. Goodwin had a successful career as an educator and prominent physician in New York as well as actively serving in both World Wars with the United States Medical Corps. He acted as both President and Vice-President of the Orders and Medals Society of America (OMSA) and is responsible for organizing their first convention in 1960. He maintained further membership with the American Society of Military Collectors, the International Orders Research Society, and the American Numismatic Society.
