Germany, Imperial. An Imperial German Navy (Kaiserliche Marine) Officers’ Cap Insignia

(Mütze für Seeoffizier). Constructed of hand-embroidered gold bullion wire thread on a dark blue wool background, presenting as an imperial crown over top of oak leaves with a central tri-colour cockade with red felt centre, measuring 84 mm (h) x 75 mm (w), in near extremely fine condition.
