$501
(Reichsministerium für die besetzten Ostgebiete Waffenrock). This is an extremely well-preserved Reich Ministry for the Occupied Eastern Territories (RMfdbO) officer’s tunic constructed of a brown wool exterior with a complete rayon interior liner. The collar, dark brown in colour, is neatly lined from end-to-end with twisted silver aluminum bullion wire “Waffenfarbe” trim, indicating that this tunic was worn by a mid-level officer of the RMfdbO. The upper left arm bears a machine-embroidered, rightward-facing “Parteiadler-” style grey thread German national eagle clutching a wreathed mobile swastika on a dark brown background, measuring 112 mm (w) x 55 mm (h). The cuffs of both arms are turned up to a depth of 148 mm and securely held in place by stitching at the front and rear, and are topped by twisted silver aluminum bullion wire trim. The breasts of the tunic each bear two pockets, opening with reinforced vertical-slit buttonholes meeting a magnetic metal button displaying a raised Parteiadler. The tunic has four magnetic metal buttons, similarly bearing Parteiadler designs, on the right breast meeting four reinforced buttonholes on the left. The interior of the tunic presents with an intact rayon liner transitioning into a pinstripe design throughout the length of the sleeves. The interior left breast has two pockets opening with reinforced horizontal slits, in between which is stitched a rayon dagger hanger with a magnetic metal hook. The interior collar has a rayon loop for hanging the tunic from a hook when not in use. The tunic is unmarked, and measures approximately 450 mm across the shoulders, with an arm length of 630 mm and a total body length of 760 mm. There is evidence of repair work to the right obverse collar and minor soiling of the interior liner, but the tunic presents in an otherwise near extremely fine condition.
