Germany, Kaiserliche Marine. A First War Imperial German Submarine Badge, c.1930

(U-Boot-Kriegsabzeichen). Constructed of gilded brass, vertical pinback, consisting of an oval laurel leaf wreath with ornate decorations and German State Crown (Reichskrone) on top, with ribbons tied around the remainder of the wreath, a submarine superimposed on the centre of the badge, unmarked, measuring 50 mm (w) x 48 mm (h), in extremely fine condition.
