Germany, Luftwaffe. A Bomber Pilot’s Clasp, Silver Grade, by Funke and Brünninghaus

(Frontflugspange für Kampf- und Sturzkampfflieger). Constructed of tombak and magnetic metal, the obverse with a central downward-sloping winged bomb within a laurel wreath, with a swastika on the bottom of the wreath and nine oak leaves on either side of the wreath, horizontal banjo-style pinback with a barrel hinge and a round wire catch, maker marked on reverse “F & B L” for Funke and Brünninghaus, Lüdenscheid, measuring 77.07 mm (w) x 26.23 mm (h) and weighing 16.9 grams, in extremely fine condition.
