Japan, Imperial. A Pair of Second War Period Japanese Army Puttees

Item #M0251-319

$65
This is a well-preserved pair of Second War period Japanese Army puttees, constructed of woven green wool twill. The puttees are trimmed on both edges with tight green machine stitching, ending in a circular shape at one end, and at the other in a reinforced point with a machine-embroidered cotton ribbon tie. Each puttee is unmarked and measures 82 mm (w) x 1990 mm (l). There are sporadic patches of mothing, with one hole repaired with a black wool patch stitched in place with orange-coloured thread, but the puttees are in an otherwise near very fine condition.
