$405
The 31 photos were taken between ca. 1941 and 1948. The album also contains a postcard with best wishes for Christmas 1949 from “the three from Aschaffenburg” (northern Bavaria). The photos show a soldier of the Heer in the rank of Gefreiter (Lance Corporal) who at some point joined the SS to become an SS-Oberscharführer in the SS-Polizei-Division, identified by his cuff title. The soldier whose name is not mentioned was awarded the Infantry Assault Badge, the Iron Cross 2nd Class, and the Eastern Front Medal. The pictures were taken in Russia, occupied Greece, and during a vacation back home in Berlin. They also show him on his wedding day, and depict a bit of his post war life in the late 1940s. The album measures 265 (w) x 190 (h) mm with minor scuffing of the cover. The photos remain in near mint condition.
