Germany, Luftwaffe. A Luftwaffe Front Flying Clasp for Transport Pilots with Star Pendant, Gold Grade

(Frontflugspange für Transport und Luftlandflieger). Instituted on 19 November 1941 by Reichsmarshall Hermann Göring. (Issued 1941-1945). Constructed of gilded zink, the obverse with a central laurel wreath with a Luftwaffe-style German national eagle in tomak, clutching a mobile swastika in the centre, with nine oak leaves on either side of the wreath, the reverse plain, with a magnetic horizontal tapering pin with a barrel hinge, and a flat wire catch, star pendant hanging below the wreath, measuring approximately 25.57 mm (w) x 76.38 mm (h), weighing 23.1 g, somewhat faded, and in very fine condition.
