A hollow Gold Cross Pattée with sun-rays between the arms of the cross, the obverse with a silver gilt monogram of Friedrich I within a bed of white enamels, surrounded by a silver gilt ring, identical reverse, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, measuring 36.09 mm (w) x 35.80 mm (h), weighing 16.1 grams with its ribbon, minor flecking of enamels but otherwise in near mint condition, accompanied by its period original case, constructed of heavy cardstock with faux blue leather exterior, with embossed designs on exterior lid, interior red satin-type lid liner with gold maker’s stamp of “Eduard Foehr, Königl.-Hofjuwelier, Stuttgart”, intact hinge cover, removable recessed felt medal bed, functional magnetic metal spring catch with exterior stud release, functional magnetic metal hinge, measuring 60 mm (w) x 100 mm (w), in extremely fine condition.
