(Gendarmerie Waffenrock). This tunic is fabricated from police-green cotton-blend exterior. The breasts of the jacket close by six reinforced button holes meeting an equal number of pebbled, silver-coloured metallic buttons, stamped on the reverse with the initials for “F.W. Assmann & Sohne” and the phrase “EXTRA FEIN.” The tunic bears four patch pockets (breast pockets pleated), each with reinforced button holes and pebbled, silver-coloured metallic buttons.

The collar is constructed of police-green cotton-blend fabric. The inside right collar has two metal hooks meeting an equal number of metal loops on the left allowing the collar to sit flush with the neck. The collar is flanked by tabs composed of a orange-coloured wool base, bordered by twisted silver aluminum bullion wire, bearing machine-embroidered twisted silver aluminum bullion wire columns, measuring 35 mm (w) x 70 mm (h). Shoulder boards rest on each shoulder, constructed of two rows of brown embroidered cord flanked by two rows of fine aluminum wire interlaced with brown threading, all wrapped in a U-shape chevron formation, finished with reinforced button holes over silvered pebbled buttons on a orange-coloured wool backer and one bronze pip indicating the rank of Revieroberwachtmeister of the Gendarmerie, measuring 35 mm (w) x 110 mm (h).

The left upper arm bears a sleeve insignia in the form of a standard police-style German national eagle clutching a wreathed mobile swastika machine-embroidered in gold-coloured thread within a larger oval wreath, all sewn onto a police-green backing, measuring 85 mm (w) x 95 mm (h).

The interior of the tunic contains an open pocket on the left that has a cotton-blend loop closing over a bakelite button. The interior contains 8 small, magnetic metal hangers. The number “791” is stamped on the interior of the left armpit, and on the interior left and right breasts underneath a shoulder lining of cotton-blended fabric. The back of the tunic features a single vent, decorated with two silvered, pebbled non-magnetic metallic buttons. The tunic measures approximately 400 mm at the shoulders, 560 mm in the arms, with an overall length of 700 mm. There are several spots of soiling on the exterior and the thread on the shoulders boards shows some wear. Otherwise, the tunic is in overall extremely fine condition.
