A Cross Pattée of multi-piece construction with a blackened iron core (magnetic) within a ribbed silver border, the obverse with a raised central mobile swastika with the re-institution date “1939” in raised numbering on the lower arm, the reverse with a screw back apparatus and back plate, marked on upper arm with “L/52” for maker C.F. Zimmermann, Pforzheim, measuring 44.34 mm (w) x 44.33 mm (h) weighing 20.8 grams, in better than very fine condition, accompanied by its period original case, constructed of cardstock with a faux leather exterior, with a faux white leather interior lid liner stamped “LDO” for Leistungsgemeinschaft Deutscher Ordenhersteller (Guild of German Awards Manufacturers), with a slotted white felt medal bed, measuring 66 mm (w) x 66 mm (l), in near very condition.
