(Орден белог орла). Instituted by King Milan I of Serbia instituted the Order of the White Eagle on 23 January 1883. Type II. 1903-1941 Issue. Civil Division. A finely toned silver star consisting of alternating double diamond etched and smooth armed rays, with a white enameled double headed crowned eagle, obverse centre featuring the Serbian cross with a fire-steel in each quadrant on a red enameled field, eagle adorned by a silver crown with blue enameled ribbons, reverse with principle pin assembly, makers marked on pin with G.A.Scheid for Austrian maker Georg Adam Scheid, silver hallmarked AA, hallmarked on tip of 6 o'clock ray with silver hallmarked A as well as 2 (Diana Head) A denoting manufacture in Vienna and 900 silver fineness, also marked on tip of 12 o'clock ray with G.A.S. for Scheid, measuring 87 mm (w) x 92 mm (h), with minor enamel loss to blue ribbon and eagle, otherwise extremely fine.
