Germany, Wehrmacht. A Close Combat Clasp, Bronze Grade, by Steinhauer & Lück

(Nahkampfspange in Bronze). Constructed of bronzed tombak, the obverse with a national eagle and a bayonet and hand grenade in the centerpiece, with sun rays emanating from the centre of the left and right sides, and with four oak leaves and two acorns on each side, the reverse plain, with a square magnetic back plate, horizontal banjo-style pinback with a barrel hinge and a flat wire catch on the reverse, unmarked but with physical characteristics of manufacture by Steinhauer & Lück, Lüdenscheid, measuring 97.02 mm (w) x 25.05 mm (h) and weighing 30.4 grams, in near extremely fine condition.
