Germany, Wehrmacht. A Panzer Assault Badge, Slver Grade, by Hermann Aurich

(Panzerkampfabzeichen). Constructed of zink, the obverse with a border of oak leaves with a tie at the base and a Panzerkampfwagen IV superimposed in the centre on grassy ground, with its left tank track extending over the edge of the badge, the reverse plain with a vertical needle style pin, a crimped plated hinge, and a crimped round wire catch, marked with logo of maker Hermann Aurich, Dresden, measuring 41.68 mm (w) x 60.05 mm (h), weighing 32.5 grams, in extremely fine condition.
