A badge constructed of silvered nickel consisting of a thick oval wreath with laurel leaves towards the left side of the wreath, oak leaves towards the right side, with a mobile swastika at the base, and a diving eagle superimposed in the centre with lightning bolts in its talons, the reverse plain with a vertical pinback, integrated cast hinge in tombak, and a crimped round wire catch, marked with “JMME & SOHN BERLIN” on the reverse, measures 42.85 mm (w) x 52.97 mm (h), weighs 33.7 g, and in extremely fine condition.
