A pair of Austrian shoulder boards, each constructed of a cardboard-reinforced orange wool base, trimmed by band of magnetic gold bullion wire around a black velvet field, bearing three gold bullion rank pips and a single gilded button presenting the coat of arms of Austria, maker mark “BSW” within a clover on reverse, each measures 42 mm (w) x 130 mm (l), and are in extremely fine condition.
