Includes: seven Enlisted Man's Cap Badges (in bronze gilt, unmarked, measuring 38.5 mm in diameter each, five with screwbacks, the other two missing their screwbacks); thirty-two Infantry Collar Disks (various eras: three Infantry c. 1917-1924; one U.S. c. 1937-1945; and twenty-eight c. 1926-1937, which includes one U.S. Nebraska, one U.S. Kansas 137th Infantry, two 134th Nebraska Infantry, four Infantry F Company, seven Infantry B Company, thirteen Howitzer Infantry; measuring 26 mm in diameter each, nineteen with screwbacks, the other thirteen with intact screwposts); an Identification Tag (silvered metal, magnetic, stamped "HARRY W. FREEZE USA" on the obverse and number stamped "20724079" on the reverse, measuring 30 mm in diameter, integral ring); and an Unidentified Badge (rolled angled silvered bullion wire, trimmed in beaded silvered wire, on Army green wool, white rayon mesh backer, measuring 43 mm (w) x 15 mm (h)). This offering is a part of the "Dr. Albert Goodwin Collection", a preeminent assemblage of world Orders, Medals, and Decorations composed solely by Dr.Goodwin between 1946-1967. Dr. Goodwin had a successful career as an educator and prominent physician in New York as well as actively serving in both World Wars with the United States Medical Corps. He acted as both President and Vice-President of the Orders and Medals Society of America (OMSA) and is responsible for organizing their first convention in 1960. He maintained further membership with the American Society of Military Collectors, the International Orders Research Society, and the American Numismatic Society.
