First badge: three-piece construction, wreathed RAF insignia in copper, mounted to a blackened silver cross, on a copper wings base maker marked "FIRMIN LONDON" on the reverse, measuring 55.7 mm (w) x 19.5 mm (h), both lugs intact); and Second Badge: three-piece construction, wreathed RAF insignia in bronze, mounted to a blackened silver cross, on a bronze gilt wings base, measuring 54.7 mm (w) x 19 mm (h), both lugs intact). Scattered chipping evident in the black paint on both badges, near extremely fine.
