Constructed of zink, the obverse with a large ship breaking through waves with a large eagle clutching a swastika on its stern, surrounded by a border of silvered chains being broken by the ship near the bottom, the reverse with a barrel hinge and banjo-style pinback, marked on reverse with designer “Otto Placzek, Berlin” and manufacturer “Schwerin, Berlin”, measuring 48.75 mm in diameter, weighing 30.3 grams, reverse catch missing, otherwise in very fine condition.
